Welcome to LifeTree (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LifeTree mobile application (“App”). By registering and using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing, or using LifeTree, you agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Eligibility & User Accounts
- Users must provide real names when registering.
- Phone number or email verification is required to create an account.
- Users under the age of 18 may only use the App with verified parental consent.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity under your account will be considered your responsibility.
3. User Responsibilities & Content Rules
- You may only upload family-related content, such as photos, stories, and relationship details.
- You agree not to upload, post, or share:
- Offensive, abusive, or harmful content
- Illegal or defamatory content
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Misleading or false information about yourself or others
- We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Ownership of Content
- All family trees, photos, and other contributions remain your property.
- By posting on LifeTree, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, store, and use the content solely for App functionality.
- We do not claim ownership of your content.
5. Subscription & Paid Features
- LifeTree offers both free features and premium features requiring a subscription.
- Subscription fees, valid periods, and billing terms will be clearly disclosed during purchase.
- Payments are processed via the respective app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store).
- All purchases are subject to app store refund policies.
6. Data & Privacy
- Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
- By using the App, you consent to the practices outlined in the Privacy Policy.
7. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in illegal activity using the App
- Upload prohibited or harmful content
- Misuse premium features or attempt fraudulent activity
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be erased as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, availability, or reliability of the App.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data, unauthorized access, or damages resulting from your use of the App.
- Your use of the App is at your own risk.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
